Well, I finished that paper finally, and it has been awesome being done with school (except finals). On Thursday, we ate dinner at Arriba Taqueria as planned, and it was really good. We hung out at Caitlin's for a while, and Laura danced crazily like she does, and Caitlin's creepy neighbors stared at us from their window as we were coming and going (apparently that's normal...poor Caitlin). We went to Szimpla later, which is a ruinpub, which basically means that it's an old apartment building that's been turned into a bar or club. They're apparently unique to Budapest, so it's cool I got to experience one, and we met some British people who had just gotten to the city that day. They were relived to find some English-speakers. I remember how overwhelming it was when I first got here and it seemed like absolutely nobody spoke English, so I don't blame them.

Yesterday was the Hungarian craft beer festival, and it was kind of sad, in my opinion. It was absolutely tiny and didn't have much to offer for people like me who don't drink beer, but it was still fun to hang out with friends. We went to Boraros ter for gyros after a few hours, because we were hungry and apparently that's the best place to get gyros, but I got pizza instead because I'm not into the whole gyro thing. It was fun though, and we ran into Dylan on the way and dragged him along with us.

We later ended up at a park by the river, which was nice until I noticed how many bugs there were...Dylan had been on his way to the festival when we kidnapped him so he wanted to go back, and Laura and I accompanied him to escape the bugs. The trams were really full so we walked all the way back. It was a lot of fun, actually.
I then went over to Laura and Julie's later, where Caitlin and Matt already were, and we just chilled while Caitlin got us "dolled up" as she likes to call it. I felt like I was wearing too much makeup, but it was fun, and then we went to Instant, which was also fun. Twas a good day.
And now, I'm about to leave for Aquincum!
